7 Truths

A Meme.

My truths:

1. This is my first meme, and I had to tell Daphne, who tagged me, that I had to google it. I had heard of memes before and read others, I just didn't know the origin and that kind of stuff about it.

2. I hate scary movies, in fact I have a hard time watching anything suspenseful (I had to look away the first time I saw Lord of the Rings, it was too intense. I have since watched all the movies, albeit on TNT with plenty of commercials) or even things where I can see someone is going to do something stupid, like Seinfeld. That's right, I went through most of the 90s not understanding 3/4 of the jokes around the watercooler. I have since also seen the Soup Nazi episode as well as the George pretending to be a marine biologist.

3. I intentionally don't post photos of myself or of A.K. (and as you can see, I don't even write his name). Part of me doesn't want to have all this personal info about us on the web, but yet I spill out so much of myself in this blog, it seems a bit silly to not post photos, especially since it could be helpful to show how things I knit actually fit on me and help someone else with his/her projects. And I truly like having a visual reference for bloggers that I read. So ...

Me

(There is a reason why I look silly in this photo, but it's not good enough to share.)

4. I CAN NOT EAT JUST ONE PIECE IN A PACK OF GUM OR CANDY. I will devour the entire pack in mere minutes. I can, however, eat just one potato chip.

5. Every Lent I give up something, even though I'm not Catholic. Or even very religious. I like knowing that even though I crave and, some might say "need" things like sweets, I can go forty days without ingesting it.

6. I am terrible at parallel parking. I'm trying to get better, since it is more important to be able to parallel park in Seattle, than say in the South where I grew up. My crutch is A.K. He is a phenomenal parallel parker. He drives around a Cherokee and I have my little 10+ year old Honda Civic hatchback and he can get the Jeep in these tiny spaces with rush hour traffic behind him. He's amazing.

7. I'm addicted to this kid show (it's a favorite of my nephew.) I felt a little silly for liking it, but now that M. Night Shyamalan is making a movie trilogy based on the show, I don't feel so bad. You should check out Avatar: The Last Airbender.

It took me forever to come up with these. And I don't want anyone else to feel oblige to do this. But if you would like to share your truths, feel free.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, AND HOPEFULLY I WILL SOMEDAY GET BACK TO MY SWATCHES!
(yep, you guessed it, that is my resolution)
